Bad Movies I Liked in 2011

Most of the films on the list below made various critic lists of the worst films of 2011, but not mine. There was some redeeming quality in each of these 10 films. Something that made me laugh or kept my attention for a couple of minutes. I can't say that about the really bad films of 2011.

So here's my list of bad films that I didn't mid watching:
"Season of the Witch"

"Dylan Dog: Dead of Night"

"Sucker Punch"

"SetUp"

"Green Lantern"

"Just Go With It"

"Arthur"

"Red State"

"Drive Angry"

"Battle: Los Angeles"

Lousy Films = Lousy Box Office Numbers

When the top-grossing film, "New Year's Eve," only brings in $13.5 million, you know it's a bad weekend for Hollywood.

'Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy' - Official US Trailer

Best and Worst Films of 2011

I'm starting to compile my list of 10 best and 10 worst films of 2011.

So far, I'm pretty sure "Bad Teacher," "The Hangover Part II," "Bucky Larson: Born to Be a Star," "Red Riding Hood," "Zookeeper," "The Dilemma," "Jack and Jill," "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides," and "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1" will make the list.

The difficult part will be keeping the list to 10.

As for the best, "Hugo," "Drive," "13 Assassins," "Everything Must Go," "Hanna," "Source Code," "Bridesmaids," "Win-Win" "Super 8" and "Midnight in Paris" are looking like sure bets.

Any suggestions for either category?

39th Annie Award Nominations Announced

What is the best animated feature of 2011?

The mainstream Hollywood releases ('Cars 2', 'Kung Fu Panda 2' 'Puss In Boots' and 'Rio' were mediocre at best.

'Rango' could be a favorite based on Johnny Depp's voice work alone, but the soon-to-be-released 'The Adventures of Tintin' could be the surprise winner.)

The nominees are:
'A Cat in Paris' (Folimage)
'Arthur Christmas' (Sony Pictures Animation, Aardman Animations)
'Arrugas' (Perro Verde Films, S.L.)
'Cars 2' (Pixar Animation Studios)
'Chico & Rita' (Chico & Rita Distribution)
'Kung Fu Panda 2' (DreamWorks Animation)
'Puss In Boots' (DreamWorks Animation)
'Rango' (Paramount Pictures, Nickelodeon Movies)
'Rio' (Blue Sky Studios)
'The Adventures of Tintin' (Amblin Entertainment, Wingnut Films and Kennedy/Marshall)
Last year's top film was 'How to Train Your Dragon' from DreamWorks Animation This year's winner will be announced Feb. 4.
