Highly Recommended: 'The Way Back'

Hardly anyone saw this 2010 release in theaters, but it's a terrific film with a top-notch cast (Colin Farrell, Ed Harris, Jim Sturgess, Saoirse Ronan) and A-list director (Peter Weir) now available on DVD.

Base on a true story, the film follows a group of political prisoners in 1941 who escape a brutal Russian gulag in Siberia and embark on a treacherous 4,000-mile journey to freedom through Russia, Mongolia, China, Tibet and finally over the Himalayas into India.
