Oscar-studded film highlights divide between Dems, GOP
George Clooney's latest film, "The Ides of March," bombed at the box-office, just like every other left-leaning political film released by Hollywood. Columnist Drew Zahn offers some analysis on why liberals in Hollywood can't related to mainstream Americans.

Another $16.3 million for "Real Steel" this weekend, just enough to keep it No. 1. Second place goes to the remake of "Footloose" at $16.1 million. Rounding out the top three spots is another remake, "The Thing" which took in $8.7 million

Another left-leaning political film flops at the box office
Interesting theory by the Los Angeles Times why the left-leaning "Ides of March" bombed at the box office on its opening weekend despite the star power of ultra-leftist George Clooney.
"March" finished a distant second to "Real Steel" with a disappointing $10.4 million at the weekend box office.
Here's my take: The audience for liberal subject matter is just too small to support these films.

After 20 years on the air, the show that made the Fox Network may be coming to an end?
The show could become a victim of declining ratings and greedy voice actors.
From The Los Angeles Times:
This season, "The Simpsons" has averaged 7.1 million viewers. That is a drop of nearly 19% from five years ago, when the show averaged 8.7 million viewers. In the coveted category of viewers ages 18 to 49, ratings for "The Simpsons" have fallen 17%.Read the full story at the link below:
Most shows experience ratings declines as they age. The conundrum is that production costs rise at the same time because producers and actors typically get big raises the longer a program stays on the air.

Are Disney's 3D Re-Releases Helping People Change Their Minds About 3D?
The reason Disney's re-release of 'The Lion King' in 3D did so well at the box office ($80 million so far) is because it was such a great story to begin with. The 3D enhanced the film for a newer audience, but you started with a great film.
